    Story Meaning & Concept Ideation

“The very thing you are closest to your own creative story, is sometimes the last story to be told.”   Here at Serious Play, we know this is true whether you are representing yourself or if a gallery represents you.  It’s easy take for granted the collector or viewer knows your intimate creative story, especially if you already have your “artist statement.”  Perhaps you drafted something years ago.  In Serious Play’s discussions with you, we will look at new stories to weave into existing ones.  Most artists are continuously discovering new subjects or inspiration.  Playing with new materials and inviting new techniques, we will explore ways that your stories can “get out and move to the surface.” This will peak your art patrons interest!  We will talk about what Serious Play calls “getting under your story.” We will go deeper than perhaps you have ever gone.  So why?

    The World of storytelling

The world of information moves rapidly. We want the world to know what is on your mind and in your heart.  Creating themes for a body of work to tell your story’s meaning is not new. However, Serious Play will take the discussion to an entirely new plateau that will “set you apart.”  We will do this even if what you make and produce remains the same. Another question, how can we retell what has already been told?  Know that the patron is “purchasing a piece of you” when they purchase something.  Even the story of that exchange becomes valuable.  Serious Play will implement various methods of communication for high impact.  There’s only one of you in the world.  Our goal is to help you discover the story that becomes yours and yours alone.  We will uncover a wealth that makes you like no other.
